Andy Shumway has been a career certified personal trainer since 1985 and is a member of the Positive Coaching Alliance. From 1995 – 1997, Andy was camp manager and conditioning coach for Oscar De LaHoya. He was the Director of Fitness at World Private Exercise from 1990 – 1997.
 

Education:Andy majored in Exercise Physiology and Business Administration with a minor in coaching at the University of Wisconsin at Stevens Point.

 

Certification:  Andy is a Certified Personal Trainer with the International Sports and Science Association (ISSA).He is also a Chek Institute certified stability ball and medicine ball coach.

 

Training Expertise:  Andy specializes in post rehab / corrective exercise, sports specific training, spinal education, youth fitness and Chi running.

Kenny Kim is a doctor of physical therapy PT,DPT,CSCS as well as a certified personal trainer.

 

Education:  Kenny has a bachelor’s of science degree in kinesiology with an exercise science option from California State University, Northridge.  He has a Doctorate of Physical Therapy from the University of Southern California. He is currently pursuing his orthopedic residency.

 

Certification:  Kenny is an ACSM certified personal trainer.  He also holds certifications with CSCS and NASPE as a Physical Best Health – Fitness Specialist. Specialized certs include: TRX and Kettle-Bell.

 

Training Expertise:  Kenny specializes in rehab / post-rehab, therapeutic exercises, sport specific training and injury consultations.

Sara Willis has over 12 years of experience in the health and fitness industry.  She started her career in martial arts and has since transitioned into personal training.  Sara has a “no nonsense” approach that has made her a very popular trainer in both New York and Los Angeles.

 

Education:  Sara is a graduate of the Circle in the Square Theater School, NYC and the Ward Studio.

 

Certification:  Sara is a NASM certified personal trainer.

 

Training Expertise:  Sara specializes in pre/post natal & special populations training (seniors and pre-adolescents); corrective function training combining traditional weight lifting with instability; sandbag, kettle-bells and bands.

Alex Pearstone is a certified personal trainer working in the fitness industry since graduating form college in 2009.

 

Education:  Alex is a graduate of UCLA where he was a two sport athlete playing both football and running track for the Bruins.

 

Certification:  Alex is an NASM and ISSA certified personal trainer.

 

Training Expertise:  Alex specializes in sport specific training, body building, boxing and injury rehabilitation.

Stormi Knight  is a certified personal trainer working on completing her degree in Kinesiology at Fullerton College.

 

Education:  Along with completing her degree in Kinesiology, Stormi is also a student teacher in Biomechanics and previously studied Welfare Science for two years in Sweden. An accomplished athlete, Stormi played for the women's international basketball team.

 

Certification:  Stormi is an NASM certified personal trainer.

 

Training Expertise:  Stormi specializes in helping clients set and acheive realistic goals, functional training and injury rehabilitation.

Jenn Reno is a certified Personal Fitness Specialist and Optimal Performance Trainer educated at the prominent Cooper Institute in Dallas, Texas.

 

Education:Jenn has her degree in exercise physiology and draws on her vast experience as a world class athlete. She was recognized as one of the best rock climbers in the world as a youngster and transitioned to the U.S. Pro Snowboard Team where she was a 5 year member.

 

Certification: Jenn is an NASM certified personal trainer.

 

Training Expertise:Drawing on a wide range of experience, Jenn specializes in creating custom fitness plans that engage both the body and mind for a variety of clients from professional athletes to working parents.
